YOW!
Today was a good day! Today was a gReAt day!! Today was a great GOOOODDDD day!!! *grinz*
hehhehheh... salsa rocks man )$(#%&^%$!!~ yeah and sea sports does too!! :D as well as loonnngggg walks along east coast beach ;) heehee! smileysmileysmileysMiLeZ!! *many smiley faces* :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
Firstly, it was raining when i woke up in the morning =) i LOVE rain and rainy days *draws in rainclouds and raindrops and an umbrella* okay so i'd have liked to sleep in ;) but i wasn't dead tired or anything n i like being around my ssc peepz anyway... *group hug!!* hehz. then i had time to check utopia plus get all my stuff ready... so i wasn't in a rush tho i did forget to bring andee's book to return to him :P then papa n mummy fetched me all the way to National Sailing Centre for which i'm very greatful :) :) [love my parents] so i had time in the car to continue reading Ramses, Son of Light which is pretty good btw! (it really holds ur attention). Got to nsc and it was still raining and the canteen we were in was cold and windy! i loved it!! *grinnnneee* ladeeda! i love cool brisk days! a biting wind is wonderfully refreshing don't you think????? =D particularly if you're warmly wrapped up and able to snuggle up in a great big comfortable couch with a mug of cocoa (milo!) and a good book!! -a hearty fireplace is preferable but not absolutely essential- ;)
On the whole, the sailing cip thing was quite slack la... only twelve kids came! 12!!!!!!! i think there were almost 50 volunteers ;p talk abt disproportionate numbers man... (X-inefficiency, allocative inefficiency & excess capacity comes to mind as well :P) haha. the idea was good though! 4 game stations, two groups of kids: one sailing, one split into four to rotate round the game stations. Andee, yeeyen n i were in charge of this hula hoop balancing game that was supposed to emphasize unity and cooperation... not a very popular (and admittedly not very interesting) one for the kids from Reach CC but hey, they managed to do it in the end :) yee yen was playing the resident ghost ;p the land games run on this storyline see... the children are supposedly shipwrecked on an island and yee yen, the angry ghost whose RIP has been rudely interrupted (aka. the crazy woman / crazy ghost woman) curses them never to leave the island unless they can solve four clues, which are actually clues leading them from game station to game station. The story moves on yadayadayada and abiel handled his group of rowdy boys admirably!! ("i used to be like that once," he confessed guiltily) And the ghost thing didn't really work out coz the boys are a tad too old to be fooled by stuff like this, full of childish bravado and just a little insolent :p so relax k yeeyen? it wasn't quite doomed from the start but it won't have worked with that group even if you'd been decked out in full ghostly regalia, semi-transparent and floating a foot above the ground. not in broad daylight anyway :p
So it was good spending time with my friends... Especially lunch with benjamin, linming, dhruv, yy, tracy and andee. Think i interacted with tracy most which was nice coz i don't see/talk to her much in school as she's in engine and i'm in arts. totally different faculties (one rox at math and one sux. wild guess which is which ;) found out that last yr's sea marshalling for nus triathalon counts for cip hours so i left early coz i really don't need the extra hours (have >90 by now) and i was getting a bit restless as i'd finished the book and i wanted to go buy the next in the series! (there r five altogther). so i left, walking all the way from nsc to big splash just so i could take the free shuttle from there to plaza singapura (where there's a Times bookstore;) *grinz* bus 36 from nsc goes to PS as well but i wanted to walk and i'm glad i did! not only was it wonderfully invigorating -stiff seabreeze, hardly anyone around- it was also extremely relaxing and fulfilling, in a spiritual/emotional sense. People ought to take some time for themselves to just be alone once in awhile... I believe it is an absolute necessity for one to just let go, destress and recharge your emotional stamina. It's not like you have to meditate, find your inner karma or whatever weird stuff like that. you don't even have to think or do some 'soul-searching' or reflecting like some magazines claim... it's just time for yourself to... be yourself! no worries, no thoughts, no cares... just a soothing repetition of putting one foot in front of the other and absorbing the quiet sounds of nature around you. breathe in the clean air and breathe out stress... you'll feel immensely uplifted, believe me :)
Took me a little under an hour and a half to reach big splash and it was time well spent! met lingling, andy (who was featured in yesterday's Life! for canoepolo haha!!), eddy, weiyong and pavell's wife :P she's really pretty and has a nice accent, Czech Republic. :) Caught the bus, went to PS, browsed a little... PS always seems to be crowded. even more so after carrefour opened! Times was okay though, which is sad in a way coz it means ppl are not reading... All the more telling is the fact that most of the ppl actually in Times were congregated in the magazine section :( :( Wanted to buy Dan Brown's Digital Fortress but decided against it in the end coz i'll be borrowing it from andee (THANKS ANDEE!!!) *smilez* so all i bought was Ella Enchanted which entitles me to two free tickets to the movie tie-in!!!!! :D terms and conditions apply of course but honestly, i only expected one :p two is amazing!! *loves times* =) left just in time to catch the bus to millenia walk and made it just in time for dance class! :) :) :)
Dance class was SUPERB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D *big big big happy happy smiley smiley smileS!* yeah it was really fun, plus (to cut the long story short to what really made my day), two of the best male dancers in class (out 3 or 4 in my opinion) asked if i want to be their partner!!! woohoohoowoowhoowhowhowhwohowwohaohwoeha;ohfo;awhietoawrltjaw035702qd;aosdkjfs!!! hahahahahaha :D :D :D :D okay at this point, some of you reading this may think i'm just some bimbo who joined salsa just to meet guys, but you're dead wrong!! i'm just insanely pleased cause it means i can dance! not just because i'm young (like e oldies in line dancing used to say) or people who just go "oh you can dance you can dance" in that offhand manner like they don't really mean it or cause they're mummy's friends and it is the right thing to say, but because i can really dance!!!! *intense delight* yes, i like to excel in what i do... i don't have to be the best (though i'd like to), but i just want to be the best I can. And also because i looovvvveeeeeeeeeee dancing!!!! ;D it's in my blood i tell ye! and i'll never be able to get enough of it!! i love watching expert dancers and i get overwhelmingly excited watching them because i yearn to be able to dance like they do! To be so in tune with the music, so fluid, so vibrant and so ALIVE!! i wish i could be the best dancer in the world, but that's just a dream! reality is that i can practice as much as i can, dance my heart out, be the best i can and hope for the best =) that i'm standing out so far is a joy and a treasured accomplishment :p
i could go on about the dancing but i want to sleep now haha. there's more to the night like going out for dinner with aunty gerry and my parents and their acknowledgement (or rather reluctant coming to terms with) my budding maturity etc. but i quite want to sleep... gotta wake up early for church tmr as well :) hopefully kenneth will b able to arrange the dance session at porshee's house earlier so i can go! have to help cook dinner tmr night n b back by six to serve n entertain ;p hah~ oh well. i've said what i wanted to say and i'm satisfied now :)
good night all!

mhm... i'm bored... feel like changing this blog template but i can't be bothered~
and the light shone down upon me,
benevolently, benignly;
illuminating her in a sparkling shroud,
of golden stars and shadows;
and he ran towards the vision
of beauty, breathlessly;
only to grasp the remains of our essence,
that lingers, enticingly.
